Bulk Salt
Michigan Bulk LLC was established in 2008. We operate salt mines in Egypt, with the ability to provide bulk deicing salt, screened medium salt, pool salt and solar salt. Our commodity trading division is able to respond to spikes in seasonal demand from clients to clear winter roads, or supply customers on a consistent basis throughout the year. We schedule shipments of 20,000 up to 60,000 ton bulk carriers that take rock salt directly from Egypt port to the United States, Canada and Europe.

Michigan Bulk has been able to deliver when others couldn’t. Our logistics expertise enables us to move large tonnage very quickly and provide emergency shipments in the most extreme conditions. Whether it’s a single truckload or an entire vessel, we can deliver. Michigan Bulk has partnered with the best logistics providers to assure we offer logistics solutions to our customers.
Where we ship
Michigan Bulk can deliver to virtually any terminal capable of discharging bulk cargo from barges and is permitted to transfer or store salt.
We can deliver by vessel to any terminal with adequate draft and the ability to handle bulk cargo. Our vessels are equipped with gears and grabs which can be discharged with shore cranes or when necessary we trans-load to self discharging laker vessels. Michigan Bulk can deliver by vessel to the Great Lakes terminals including Hamilton, Windsor, Oswego, Oshawa, Ashtabula, Cleveland, Toledo, Milwaukee, Muskegon, Detroit, Saginaw among other ports.
